January, 2012-- Dale Pennington, UtiliWorks' Managing Director and Eddy Hernandez, Director of Customer & Information Services for Brownsville Public Utility Board are presenting at EUCI's 10th Annual Billing for Utilities Conference. The presentation topic is "AMI and Brownsville PUB: Is There a Future or is the Relationship Off?" The event is taking place January 31- February 1, 2012 in Houston, TX.
January, 2012-- UtiliWorks is exhibiting at booth 4354 at Distributech 2012 in San Antonio, TX. The event is taking place January 24-26, 2012 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

July, 2011-- UtiliWorks is sponsoring, presenting and exhibiting at the Municipal Smart Grid Summit with Synaptitude Consulting. The event is taking place July 25-27, 2011 in Bonita Springs, Florida.
May, 2011-- UtiliWorks and the City of Ruston's Utility Director, Darrell Caraway will lead the workshop presentation on Building a Smart Infrastructure at the 2011 CS WEEK Conference. The discussion will take place on May 24th at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center located in Orlando, FL.
April, 2011-- UtiliWorks will present a session on factors to consider when planning an AMI/ MDM project at Alameda Municipal Power's headquarters in California. The event which takes place on April 27 is hosted in conjunction with Alameda Municipal Power and Harris Computer Systems. UtiliWorks has been invited as an industry expert to discuss how implementing Smart Metering technologies can drive value for utilities and their customers.
April, 2011-- UtiliWorks is sponsoring, exhibiting and presenting at Spintelligent's Metering America 2011 conference in Dallas, TX from April 18-20. UtiliWorks and Synaptitude Consulting will discuss the topic of "Beyond Revenue Protection- Revenue Assurance" on April 20.
April, 2011-- UtiliWorks Consulting's Managing Director, Dale Pennington, was invited to speak at the Hannover Fair for the "Smart Grid in the USA" forum, in Hannover, Germany. Dale presented on April 5, 2011 as an industry expert to provide German companies with an overview of the US Smart Grid market. February, 2011-- UtiliWorks will have two presenters at AWWA's 2011 Customer Service/IMTECH Conference in Dallas, TX on February 28. Tisha Hayes, Senior Consultant will be presenting on the topic of AMI Communications. Nicole Pennington, Marketing Coordinator, will discuss "A Practical Alternative to the Utility Assessment."
November, 2010-- UtiliWorks attended the Advanced Energy 2010 conference in NYC as an exhibitor. The event took place November 8-9, 2010.
October, 2010-- UtiliWorks Managing Director, Dale Pennington, attended the "Energy Efficiency Transatlantic Program 2010" in Germany from October 12-22. Dale was invited to review the innovative Smart Grid technologies for energy efficiency that are being developed in Europe.
September, 2010-- UtiliWorks Managing Director, Dale Pennington and Tom Taggart, Director of Public Services for the City of San Marcos, TX will be presenting on the topic of "Understanding Demand Side Management and the Smart Grid" at Utilimetrics Autovation on Tuesday September 14. UtiliWorks will also be an exhibitor for the event, which takes place in Austin, TX from September 12-15, 2010. UtiliWorks Innovation Showcase Presentation on the topic of "Using Web-Based Assessment Technology to Prepare for an AMI/ Smart Grid Deployment" will take place Monday September 13, 2:45-3:30 p.m. The showcase presentation is a non-additional cost for Autovation attendees. The Expanding Excellence Awards were announced on May 27 by CS Week and Electric Light & Power Magazine. Congratulations to the City of San Marcos for a great accomplishment!
March, 2010-- Congratulations to UtiliWorks' client, the City of Ruston, for winning the Smart Grid Project of the Year by Utility Automation and Engineering T&D Magazine, a division of PennWell Corporation. January, 2010-- The annual UtiliWorks gathering took place in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 21- 22. The two day meeting proved to be very productive. UW members hosted industry information sessions and established company goals.
New Hires
September, 2011-- Mark Gray joins the UtiliWorks team as the Director of Business Development. He will be working closely with the business development team to qualify and convert many of the current leads and opportunities into contracts. Mark will also have a special focus on UtiliWorks Insight, web-based analysis and assessment tool.
September, 2011-- Ranea White joins the UtiliWorks team as Transition Manager. She is leading the transition of UtiliWorks' projects from the sales cycle into delivery. Ranea works closely with the assigned project manager to facilitate the setup of projects. Ranea is also highly involved with proposal development and other sales related tasks.
June, 2011-- John Flood joins the UtiliWorks' team as a Consultant. John is responsible for exploring, understanding and mapping all current state customer business practices. He is a certified trainer in Lean Enterprise Methodology and Value Stream Mapping. He facilitates Business Process Improvement and Quality Initiatives that are developed in response to AMI future state designs.
June, 2011-- Lauren Blender joins the UtiliWorks team as a financial analyst. She is responsible for operational and capital cost analysis, including present worth analysis for capital projects, capital budgeting and forecasting. In addition, she is involved with business transactional cost analysis and business process discovery.
April, 2011-- Nicole Naassan joins the UtiliWorks' team as a Senior Consultant. Nicole will be responsible for managing utility business process development. She has 20 years of experience in the energy sector and is an expert in meter to cash analytics and controls.
December, 2010-- Tim Patterson joins the UtiliWorks' team as a Principal Consultant. He is an expert in metering automation technology, IT integration, and project management. Tim has worked globally as a manager, engineer and consultant and has been awarded multiple US patents for innovations in metering technology.
October, 2010-- Charles Stachacz joins the UtiliWorks' team as a Principal Consultant. He will bring over 20 years of experience in the Utility industry. Charlie specializes in Project Management for CIS, mobile workforce management, AMI deployment planning and implementation, business process analysis for utility operations, strategic systems planning and integration.
